First Day Back

Today was a smooth transition. I came into class determined to utilize my strengths and highlight on my final project. Before break, I was more relaxed and experimental, but after watching a video a friend showed me I realize how hard I have to work.

I have to be willing to try new areas and push myself to be the best. This class is a privilege to take, and in order to take full advantage of it, I need to work as if this was the final class before the show.

The End of Week Reflection

Looking back:

  • I experimented tracing and adding depth with pencil
  • I discovered what kind of artist I want to be and how I can achieve that
  • I made a check list of what I need to accomplish before the show
  • I realized I want to make a 16x20 inch piece of a person
  • Used watercolors and pastel to experiment
  • Got critical feedback from my classmates

Looking ahead:

  • Plan final piece
  • Use pencil and charcoal more often
  • PRACTICE SHADING
  • Stay focused and don't get worried or overwhelmed
  • Stick to personal themes and my strengths
